Albert I. Alexander, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Alexander earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Brown University in Providence and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. He completed his surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Affiliated Hospitals and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, and a research fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Melbourne, Australia.Dr. Alexander was recognized for excellence in teaching at Baystate Medical Center, where he teaches University of Massachusetts Medical School residents and fellows, and at Bay Path University, where he taught surgical skills.
He is a member of Sigma Xi, the National Research Honor Society; the International Society for Medical Innovation and Technology; and the New England Surgical Society. In addition, Dr. Alexander is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Burritt L. Haag III, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Haag earned his undergraduate degree in biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, and an advanced laparoscopy fellowship, with a focus on bariatric surgery, at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. He was also a research fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
Dr. Haag was recognized for excellence in teaching at Baystate Medical Center, where he teaches University of Massachusetts Medical School residents and fellows, and at Bay Path University, where he taught surgical skills.
He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Obesity Action Coalition. In addition, Dr. Haag is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
